15th Annual Great Zoo Egg-stravaganza
SATURDAY, March 30, 2013 from 12-4 p.m.
Celebrate spring and have a hopping good time as you learn about animals that flit, flutter and fly in the springtime sky. Hunt for eggs, play games, make crafts and more. This event will be an egg-cellent time, rain or shine!
|Egg Decorating||Insect Hide & Seek|
|Honey Bee Toss||Face Painting|
|Butterfly Craft||Wildflower Craft|
Children will receive a Passport to Spring and collect stamps at each of the many craft and activity stations that feature games and explorations into the world of rabbits, bees, butterflies and more. At the end of the day, redeem your Passport for some great prizes!
The Egg hunt will be ongoing, starting at noon and running until 4 p.m. To ensure that everyone can participate in the fun, there will be a limit of 3 eggs per child. Children can also embark on an Egg-spedition and seek out animal clues hidden around the Zoo at any time during the event.
There’s also a self-guided chalk walk to explore Springtime at the Zoo, up close and personal encounters with some of our newer residents, and a newly egg-spanded animal enrichment schedule (subject to change):
Animal Encounters (subject to change):
|12:30 & 3:30 p.m.||North American porcupine|
|2:30 p.m.||Northern spotted owl|
|12-4 p.m.||Giant Flemish rabbit|
Plus, bring your cameras to have your photo taken with
the Easter Bunny!
Bring the whole family to enjoy this wonderful springtime tradition... Hope to see you at the zoo!
