Sequoia Park Zoo Now Open Seven Days a Week
May 24, 2012—Starting on Memorial Day, Sequoia Park Zoo will operate on its summer schedule – seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – until Labor Day. The Zoo’s Café and Gift Shop will be serving until 5 p.m. every day;; Zoo staff would like to remind everyone that the Café and Gift Shop can be accessed free of charge – admission to the Zoo is not required.
“We always look forward to our summer season at Sequoia Park Zoo,” says Zoo Manager Gretchen Ziegler. “We get tourists from all around the country visiting for the first time who tell us how delightful our little zoo is – they truly seem thrilled with their visit here, and the beautiful redwood setting.”
The seven-day schedule also coincides with the start of the summer camps and classes season for kids. Places are still open for a few of the classes; parents should call Education Coordinator Amber Nielson at (707) 441-4217 or email education@sequoiaparkzoo.net for availability.
Sequoia Park Zoo connects the community with animals to inspire wonder, understanding and conservation of wildlife and the natural world. The Zoo is located at 3414 W St. in Eureka.
