Past Summer CAMPS

Cub Club (Ages 5-7)

Cub Club is a wild adventure for the young explorer. During each class we learn about animals through intimate encounters, hands-on exploration, theater, storybooks, art and more.

Passport to Discovery:
All aboard! Grab your passports and let’s jet off on the adventure of a lifetime! Every day we will explore a new biome around the world and meet some of the animals that call the Zoo home.

Animal Oddities:
Tails, teeth, and thorns, oh my! From animals that eat prickly cactus for lunch to those who live their whole lives in the tree canopy, join us as we investigate the odd adaptations that animals around the world use to survive.

Jr. Zookeepers (Ages 8-10)

Hands-on learning about animals including caring for, feeding and making special treats for our zoo ambassadors. Camps cater to diverse learners and always include arts, physical movement and multi-sensory exploration.

Backyard Biologists:
Explore the science of life! Join us for this EXCITING week of camp where we engage in hands-on experiments, animal observations, and walk in the shoes of a biologist.
Art of Conservation

Youth Assistant Keeper (YAK)

YAK Zoo Crew (Ages 11-15)

Here is a new spin on an old favorite! The former Youth Assistant Keeper program has gotten a makeover.

Participants will meet three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday OR Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

The program will run July 18-August 12, 9:00am-2:00pm

Each session will be limited to eight participants that will assist Zoo Keepers with animal care tasks in the Barnyard and other projects around the Zoo while also learning about research, enrichment and training.

Fridays, all 16 participants will come together for an end-of-week celebration and larger group service project.
